I, then, was fortunate to find for a first publisher one with the same attitude. that simple courtesy will set this house apart from the run of the mill ones.Larion aka Larriane Willshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05044089414209140043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-506162355081704816.post-8695327621558148752010-07-10T12:30:05.969-04:002010-07-10T12:30:05.969-04:00Thank you. As an editor and author at Muse, I can tell you that Lea lives what she says.

In times of economic depression the one industry that thrives is entertainment. Ebooks are here to stay; they're instant gratification, and cheaper than a movie. If you don't have an ereader, you can download several for free to your pc/netbook. No pc, no problem. Use the library's, download your book to a ten dollar usb and then use the pc ereader there. What's not to love?!Karen McGrathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00417540242558444954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-506162355081704816.post-11392941960683359772010-07-09T22:36:30.018-04:002010-07-09T22:36:30.018-04:00Great interview Lea!Great interview Lea!Nancy Bellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03356478899930577271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-506162355081704816.post-31248575915115825312010-07-09T14:22:39.278-04:002010-07-09T14:22:39.278-04:00I am one of the "new" writers who was lu...I am one of the "new" writers who was lucky enough to find myself subbing to Muse. You'll note that I have quotation marks around "new" and there is a reason for that.

Ten years ago I worked with an independent editor and agent who criticized, belittled, but refused to teach, explain, or share the simplest of things. They hugged their "superior" knoweledge to their chests like they were guarding nuggets of pure gold.

Lea is a breath of fresh air, and honesty. Believe me she does not accept unworthy works, but she will teach you, show you, and encourage you to learn how to improve. She is unstinting in her respect, appreciation, and eagerness for the writer to make all needed changes and live their dream.

This is a woman who works round the clock, thinks about any pitfalls that couold present, and then make all adjustments that her agile, very adept mind can make. She is amazing in the ways she has come up with promoting that is not the same old bombardment most of us have grown not just weary of, but disdainful of.

I am so glad to be at Muse and would encourgae any new author to check out the publisher BEFORE signing that contract. Ask other authors what is positive about each publisher, but also what is NEGATIVE. Investigate in every possible way...Google Search, etc., etc.

We writers deserve the best not just the available.Linhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13866209826449646004noreply@blogger.com
